CSA Training Day 1

Pretty slow day really for what is a condensed course it wasn't going at an accelerated pace.
Based near West Kensington we are based in a building that looks like a prison from the outside and even has an East wing and a West wing inside. The stairs don't exist and the lifts are always going in the opposite direction to the way you want to go.

There are 9 of us, me being the only engineer (getting used to this), with 7 mini-management and 1 on the service controller scheme. We are doing a special graduate cut down version of CSA training but all the others are carrying on a 5 week program to reach Station Supervisor level. I on the other hand am being placed at (providing it is sorted on time) Baker Street to be a CSA for 3 weeks before moving on to Train Opertator training.

Training today covered the basic uniform and equipment we are issued, I was measured (well measuring in LU comprises of trying on lots of uniforms till one fits) for my CSA get up.
We got given alot of rules and regulations, a complete boxset of the rules is fairly hefty and we got a lot of handbooks to work through in our own time to get up to speed.
